My Path and Love for Design
Every pixel has a purpose in my world of web design. Drawing from my experience in direct customer service and technical development, I build websites that turn business challenges into opportunities for genuine user connection. My latest client summed it up perfectly: "We love how the new site flows."
This focus on practical design stems from my early days working in my family's grocery store. Helping customers find exactly what they needed taught me the fundamentals of user experience long before I knew the term. During the pandemic, I watched our store and others struggle to establish an online presence. This sparked my mission to build our store's first website, a project that revealed my passion for web design and development. Sharing my learning journey on social media connected me with an encouraging community of designers and developers who provided invaluable guidance. This network led to my first professional project – developing a landing page for a software automation and monitoring company.
What started as a single project has grown into two years of collaborating with clients across industries. My work includes converting complex dropdown menus into intuitive navigation systems, replacing walls of text with scannable layouts, and building responsive designs that work smoothly on any device. Each project starts with two questions: "What frustrates your current users?" and "What would make them return to your site?" Take VacayAZ, where a streamlined new design and intuitive flow earned enthusiastic client feedback and improved user engagement.
Along with client projects, I sign up for paid and free courses regularly to further improve my skillset.
My favorite projects are full-spectrum projects, from research through to UI and implementation.
Outside of work:
Away from screens, you'll find me on the football field or in the gym. These pursuits reflect my core values: dedication to continuous improvement, team collaboration, and the joy of achieving goals together.
